The GSX-R600 has been around for over two decades now and remains a shining example of a Japanese middle-weight supersport that hasn’t grown in displacement like much of its rivals. Suzuki Motorcycles hasn’t made any updates to the bike for this year, barring the addition of new color schemes — Glass Matte Mechanical Gray, Pearl Brilliant White, and Glass Blaze Orange/Glass Sparkle Black.

The GSX-R600 is the smallest bike in Suzuki’s 2022 sportbike portfolio, but that doesn’t make it underpowered or incapable. Powering the bike is a 599cc, inline-four engine that — for the first time on a production Suzuki — uses technology derived from the manufacturer’s MotoGP engines. Suzuki does not reveal peak output figures for its motorcycles, but dyno runs have shown that the bike produces over 100hp and 44lb-ft of torque at the crank. This might not sound like a lot, but when you consider that the bike weighs just 187kg, fully fueled, it’s evident that there’s enough performance for you to play with.

This is a perfect motorcycle for someone looking to frequent the race track. There’s top-spec hardware on offer, from Showa suspension at either end and Brembo four-piston calipers at the front. You’ll also get access to the Suzuki Drive Mode Selector that gives the rider total adjustment of the motorcycle’s engine delivery to have the perfect power necessary whether you’re on the race track or commuting to work in the rain.
